With around four million media, the University Library Graz is not only one of the largest educational and cultural institutions in Styria, it is also one of the most modern. Under the leadership of Mag. Pamela Stückler, the University Library is continuously working on expanding its range of e-books, e-journals and databases - and making scientific research results freely and openly available to the public.
Modernity and tradition: The origins of the University Library Graz lie in the Jesuit College founded in 1573. When the Jesuit College was confirmed as a University in 1585, the library received the status of a university library.
